A British guy’s large root vegetable, a “celeriac”, weighing 13 pounds has broken a Guinness World Record.
The man named Graham Barratt, a resident of Gloucester took his giant vegetable to the Malvern Autumn Show and on Thursday (September 26) obtained confirmation that his root vegetable now holds the arena record for the heaviest celeriac, UPI reports.
“It’s either weight or duration for a large veg, however it’s now not beauty. Some of them are pretty unpleasant,” Barratt stated jokingly in an interview with BBC Radio.
Interestingly, Barratt should have also taken home the report for the second one heaviest vegetable as he took a giant cucumber — among different humongous greens — that might have earned him the document to the Malvern Autumn Show.
