Germany to provide 45 million euro to Pakistan

Islamabad: Germany on Thursday announced that it will provide 45 million euros to support Pakistan.

According to the Division of Economic Affairs Dr. Kazim Niaz, Economic Affairs Secretary of Pakistan, and Mr. Alfred Grannas, German Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, witnessed the signing ceremony of Technical Development Cooperation Agreements worth 45 million euros to initiate new bilateral cooperation. projects.

These new agreements are the result of a long-standing and trusted partnership between the two countries.

The newly awarded projects are in line with the German thematic areas of development cooperation Climate and energy, fair transition; Sustainable economic development, training and employment; Health, social protection and population policy.

All ongoing and new projects work hand in hand with a holistic approach that creates synergies for comprehensive solutions to effectively address complex and global issues such as climate change and the inclusion of vulnerable groups such as women and youth.

Both sides highlighted the immense efforts made in recent decades. The impact of German development cooperation is proof of successful cooperation focused on development sectors in need. Germany stands Shana ba Shana with Pakistan.

Ambassador Alfred Grannas: “German-Pakistani development cooperation has left its mark on the country. With the agreement we signed today, we want to continue our joint journey towards a sustainable future in Pakistan. Recently, Svenja Schulze, our German Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, said that “international cooperation does not only help others”. Above all, it helps us because global problems can only be solved together.

Our work contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals and is carried out in accordance with cooperation agreements between Pakistan and Germany.
