On the third day of the Israel-Hamas ceasefire, displaced Palestinians continue to return to their homes in Gaza. As people make their way back to their neighborhoods, aid trucks are also arriving in Gaza to provide much-needed relief.
According to the United Nations, 630 aid trucks entered Gaza on Sunday. On the first day of the ceasefire, Hamas released three female hostages, who appeared happy and healthy.
As part of the agreement, Israel freed 90 Palestinian prisoners, including women and children, in exchange for the hostages. Among those released were politician Khalida Jarrar and journalist Rola Hassanin.
After the ceasefire began, 62 bodies of martyrs were recovered from the devastated areas.
It is important to note that the 15-month Israeli assault on Gaza has claimed the lives of 47,899 Palestinians, including women and children. Over 110,000 Palestinians have been injured, and thousands remain missing.
