From the Heaven

Poetry By Arshia Ghaffar

365th day of misery

There passed a year of woe!

I can see your wet eyes,

In a struggle to hide tears!

I can listen,

the sighs of ache!

I am gone,

To where I belong!

Can’t come to you, crossing the lines!

Even so,

In the gleam of your mind’ eye,

under the umbra of euphony;

When the alluring melody,

surrounds you!

With the heart, lighter than the clouds

I’ll meet you!

Beyond the universe,

In a world of dreams!

To tell you that,

I’ll be there, existing;

In the echo of golden days,

In your melancholic smile,

and heavy heart!

To let you know,

I am everywhere!

Near and far;

In every part where you want me to be!
