The national team’s fitness camp for the five-match T20I series against New Zealand began at the Kakul Academy in Abbottabad on Tuesday.
A total of twenty-five players attended the first session, with the medical team performing a comprehensive examination on each player.
According to sources, Babar Azam, Naseem Shah and Iftikhar Ahmed are expected to join the camp on Wednesday after returning from Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, fast bowler Mohammad Amir is scheduled to arrive at the academy today.
Dr. Sohail Saleem, head of PCB’s medical committee, along with physio Cliff Deacon and a trainer are overseeing the fitness camp. Army trainers also contribute to improving the condition of the players.

The training camp is scheduled to end on April 8, just before Eid-ul-Fitr.
The Blackcaps will land in Islamabad on April 14 and are scheduled to play three T20Is at Rawalpindi’s Pindi Cricket Stadium on April 18, 20 and 21. After these matches, the teams will move to the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore for the final two T20Is on April 25. and the 27th
