Ilya Sutskever, founder and former chief scientist of ChatGPT maker OpenAI, announced on Wednesday that he is launching a new artificial intelligence company.
The company is focused on creating a secure AI environment at a time when several large tech companies are trying to dominate productive AI development.
The company is called Security Control and is described on its website as an American firm with offices in Palo Alto and Tel Aviv. Sutskever announced the company’s launch in an article on X.
“Our single focus means no interruption from management or product cycle, and our business model insulates safety, security and growth from short-term commercial pressures”.
Sutskever joins former OpenAI researcher Daniel Levy and former Apple AI chief Daniel Gross as co-founders of Cue and Security Monitor.
After Altman returned, Sutskever was removed from the company’s board.
