ABBOTTABAD: A Forest Department employee’s house near Thandiani was damaged by fire after a suspected short circuit triggered a blaze on Friday.
The affected employee, Aamir Yaqoob, works as a post runner with the Forest Department. The fire damaged the house and destroyed valuable household belongings.
After receiving information about the incident, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister’s Adviser on Forests Pir Musawir Khan expressed sympathy with the affected employee and regretted the loss caused by the fire.
The adviser provided Rs150,000 in financial assistance from his personal funds to help the employee deal with the immediate loss.
The financial assistance was delivered to the affected employee through Principal Forest Training School Abbottabad Tariq Ali Shah.
Pir Musawir Khan said the affected family would not be left alone during this difficult time. He said humanitarian support and the welfare of Forest Department employees would remain a priority.
He also expressed his deep concern over the damage caused by the fire and said standing with employees during difficult circumstances was a responsibility of the department.
