Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi organized a commemorative walk under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman to mark the success and sacrifices associated with Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos. The walk was attended by the faculty members, administrative officers, students and employees of the university, who expressed solidarity with the armed forces of Pakistan and paid tribute to the martyrs and national heroes who rendered unparalleled sacrifices for the defense and sovereignty of the country.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman said that the armed forces of Pakistan have always demonstrated exemplary courage, professionalism, and unwavering dedication in safeguarding the country against all internal and external threats. He emphasized that the entire Pakistani nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its armed forces and takes immense pride in their sacrifices for the security and stability of the homeland.
The Vice Chancellor paid rich tribute to the Chief of Army Staff & Chief of Defence ForcesField Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ for his visionary leadership, exceptional professional capabilities, and unwavering commitment to the defense and sovereignty of Pakistan during Marka-e-Haq. He stated that under the courageous and strategic leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the nation witnessed unity, resilience, and unmatched determination, which strengthened the spirit of the armed forces and inspired every Pakistani with pride and confidence. Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir’s leadership skills and effective military diplomacy are receiving exceptional recognition internationally.
Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman also highlighted the importance of promoting patriotism, national unity, and awareness among youth, stating that educational institutions have a vital role in nurturing responsible citizens who value national integrity and contribute positively towards the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
A flag hoisting ceremony was also organized and special prayers were offered for the peace, prosperity, and security of Pakistan, as well as for the eternal peace of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the defense of the nation.
