The Federal Ministry of Home Affairs launched mobile facilities and educational services
According to details, Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi has successfully implemented other important initiatives for the convenience of the residents of the federal capital, the public relations officer said.
The Interior Minister said that the Islamabad Traffic Police has launched public facilitation and educational mobile services and has inspected and checked the facilities provided to the citizens to obtain licenses.
In this regard, a function was held at F-9 Park where the Federal Home Minister was the chief guest, Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi and senior police officers were also present.
Taking this opportunity, the Federal Interior Minister said that the Islamabad Traffic Police will now issue driving licenses to citizens in any part of the country and in the federal capital, the license will be issued to people over 70 years old at home.
He also stressed that the citizens of Islamabad should be prioritized in providing services for obtaining and renewing licenses and study permits in all educational institutions.
Apart from that, he said, the purpose of this service is to save students’ time to go to the bus station and queue.
However, the Federal Interior Minister announced that efforts have been made to rid Islamabad of drugs and crime. Islamabad will abide by the Supreme Court’s verdict on crimes and ensure that no abuses are tolerated.
The Islamabad Traffic Police has been directed to issue permits to citizens of any part of the country residing in Islamabad without requiring them to return if their temporary or permanent address is outside Islamabad.
He said that all police stations in Islamabad would undergo major changes in three months.
He said that under the leadership of IGP Islamabad, the police took action against drug use in educational institutions in Islamabad and arrested the drug dealers.
Taking this opportunity, IGP Islamabad said that this mobile service van will follow the motto of “citizen-friendly service” to serve the citizens in Islamabad.
He further said that it will ensure the effective maintenance of mobile services. Police car service plans are available from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Islamabad Police is committed to protect and serve the citizens at all times, he said.
