The Federal Board of Secondary and Secondary Education has officially announced the results for the 9th and 10th years, with the overall matriculation result reaching an impressive 88.20% and the ninth year result at 58.71%.
Top performers in the science group
In Science Group Matriculation Section 2, Zabadia Naseem emerged as the top scorer securing an excellent 1087 marks. Followed closely by Hijab Fatima secured the second position with 1085 points. Mushtaq Shahbaz and Fatima Wajid shared the third position, both scoring 1084 points.

Earlier on July 9, the Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education had announced the matriculation exam results, marking a major milestone for more than a quarter of a million students.
Controller of Examinations Zahid Mian gave detailed information about the results and revealed that out of 250,000 students who appeared, 174,000 passed, giving an overall pass percentage of 69.75%.
Distribution of results
Scientific group
– 73.91% of students passed.
– The success rate among female students was remarkably high, with 80% of girls passing the exams.
– Men had a success rate of 67%.
Art group
– The success rate was 55%.
– Female students once again outperformed their male counterparts with a pass rate of 63% compared to 38% for boys.
The controller also looked into issues of cheating and malpractice. 267 cases of cheating were detected, leading to the registration of more than 60 First Information Reports (FIRs).
