ISLAMABAD: Fear of cyber attacks, advisory has been issued for security measures.
It was revealed that global hackers are targeting government institutions and critical infrastructure. Pakistan has introduced security measures in view of possible attacks by hackers. All ministries and departments have been instructed to ensure implementation of precautionary measures in view of cyber attacks.
The Cyber Security Department has issued an advisory to all Ministries and Departments in which technical details have also been shared to take all precautionary measures to avoid hacker attacks.
The advisory states that Deadglyph backdoor is a window-based system used by hackers to hack into government institutions and critical infrastructure, so system and network administrators of all institutions are instructed to , foolproofing and whitelisting of the entire system including BIOS, hardware and software should be ensured.
