A tax education and awareness seminar was held at Air University Islamabad under the auspices of the Public Relations Wing of the Federal Board of Revenue. The seminar was organized in cooperation with the Tax Education Society of Air University and was attended by students and teachers of the university.
Secretary Tax Education Alam Zeb Khan of Public Relations Wing FBR briefed in detail about the tax system prevalent in Pakistan in the university auditorium. He explained that taxes collected in Pakistan are spent on education, health, infrastructure development, and defense.
During the event, students and faculty members asked several questions related to income tax, sales tax, federal excise tax, and customs duties. The Tax Awareness Society, which consists of Air University students, is constantly engaged in raising tax awareness. Tax Awareness Society President Hafiz Afsar Hussain and Vice President Basma Asim are very active in this regard.
On the arrival of Secretary Tax Education Alam Zeb Khan at Air University, he was welcomed by Vice Chancellor Air Marshal (retd) Javaid Ahmad, Registrar Air Commodore (retd) Abdul Wahab Motla and Dean Dr. Muin Azaz Zafer. Souvenirs for the Chancellor and other officials of Air University were also presented to FBR during the meeting held on the occasion.
