The Punjab Drug Control Team on Saturday seized fake skin creams and chemicals worth Rs 0.8 million.
According to the Ministry of Health, clobetasol has been used in fake allopathic medicines. The drug team confiscated all the fakes.
Chemical and product samples were sent to laboratories for testing.
In addition, the owner of the factory admitted that he prepared the products without a license.
Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir examined the prepared products at the skin unit on the occasion.
Nazir made it clear that there would be no compromise and strict action would be taken against the preparation and sale of spurious medicines.
The Punjab Health Minister urged the masses to use certified brands on the advice of certified doctors.
