The weather service will be hot and dry across most of the country, with temperatures expected to rise in some key areas.
The spokesperson of the press department said that the weather in Islamabad will be hot and partly cloudy during the day, and there may be rain and wind and thunder in some places in the evening. The temperature in the capital is expected to reach 40 degrees.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), north-eastern Punjab and Potohar region will experience some relief from heat and rain in some places.
Extreme heat is expected in some parts of the country, with maximum temperatures reaching 46 degrees in Dadu and Turbat. The temperature is expected to reach 42 degrees Celsius in Lahore.
Meanwhile, Karachi will see slightly cooler but still warm conditions, with the mercury expected to rise to 36 degrees Celsius.
Heat intensity continues to increase in Karachi. Due to the high humidity, the heat reaches 45 degrees, causing discomfort and worry to the residents.
On Monday morning, the temperature in the city was 31 degrees, and the minimum overnight temperature was 29 degrees. The relative humidity in the air is now 78%, intensifying the effect of heat.
The wind is currently blowing up to 15 kilometers per hour, and the wind is expected to increase to 20 kilometers per hour later in the day. Despite the wind, the lack of sea breeze makes the city swelter in intense heat and humidity.
As high temperatures are expected, residents of affected areas are advised to stay hydrated and take precautions to avoid prolonged sun exposure. Health officials are urging people to stay indoors during the hot weather and to be on the lookout for heat-related illnesses.
