Ex-New Zealand all-rounder Corey Anderson to represent USA in T20 World Cup

USA Cricket announced on Saturday that former New Zealand all-rounder Corey Anderson will join the national team for the T20 World Cup in June.

Anderson, who featured for New Zealand in the 2015 World Cup 50-over against Australia and has played in two T20 World Cups, last played for his country in 2018.

His debut for Team USA came in the recent T20 series against Canada.

The inclusion of 33-year-old Anderson will add experience to the 15-member squad led by wicket-taker-batsman Monank Patel.

Team USA will participate in several warm-up games. Before the World Cup campaign begins against Canada in Dallas on June 1, the USA plans to play three T20 internationals against Bangladesh in Houston to prepare for the challenges ahead.
