RAWALPINDI, October 1: The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Rawalpindi conducted a campaign against banned plastic products, visiting 32 locations and confiscating 383 kilograms of plastic.
According to the EPA, the campaign was aimed at promoting a cleaner, greener and plastic-free environment and encouraging the public and businesses to reduce their use of single-use plastic bags.
During the campaign, officials also secured 10 pledges from individuals or businesses to support efforts aimed at reducing plastic pollution.
The EPA urged citizens to avoid single-use plastic bags and adopt more environmentally friendly alternatives to help reduce plastic waste and protect the environment.
The campaign forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen compliance with restrictions on banned plastic and promote responsible waste management in Rawalpindi.
The EPA has provided 1373 as a helpline for complaints and information related to environmental issues.
