FAISALABAD: The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Faisalabad has sealed a factory after finding violations of environmental laws and the emission of black smoke during a field inspection.
The action was taken following a complaint received through the Commissioner Office and other platforms. An EPA Faisalabad team conducted a field inspection of the factory and found the use of Landa and other subsidized fuels, resulting in the emission of black smoke.

Taking action over the environmental violation, the EPA team sealed the factory on the spot and also imposed a fine.
The EPA said action against environmental violations would continue to help control pollution and improve air quality.
The department also stressed that industries must comply with environmental laws and adopt cleaner practices to protect public health and ensure cleaner air.
