The Department of Management Sciences (FMS-BICON) at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) successfully organized the Entrepreneurship Gala 2024, showcasing the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of its students. The event was held under the supervision of Mr. Waris Ali, Head FMS-BICON and provided a dynamic platform for aspiring entrepreneurs to present their innovative business ideas and ventures.
The ceremony was inaugurated by Sardar Yasir Ilyas khan(CEO Centaurus Group, President IDA) and Rector NUML, Major General Shahid Mahmood Kayani (Retd.), accompanied by Director General NUML Brig. Shahzad Munir, Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences Professor Dr. Zahid Iqbal, and Head of Management Sciences Dr. Ejaz Mustafa Hashmi.
Speaking at the event Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan lauded the initiative for bridging the gap between academia and industry, encouraging young minds to pursue innovation-driven solutions. Rector NUML Major General Shahid Mahmood Kayani emphasized the importance of fostering entrepreneurial skills among students to meet the challenges of a competitive global market. Mr. Waris Ali Head BICON-FMS, highlighted the gala’s vision to empower students with practical business insights and nurture their entrepreneurial capabilities.
The gala featured an array of entrepreneurial exhibits, interactive sessions and networking opportunities, attracting students, faculty, industry experts and business leaders. The event concluded with an acknowledgment of the participants’ efforts, leaving attendees inspired to contribute to Pakistan’s entrepreneurial landscape.
