Entrepreneur Malik Asad and Mohsin Naveed Ranjha, a renowned Pakistani fashion designer, have made history by becoming the first South Asian designer to set up a dedicated design studio in London’s prestigious Regent Street.
Ranjha and entrepreneur Malik Asad have launched Pakistan’s first fashion label on London’s Regent Street, marking a major debut on the global fashion scene.
The first-ever project of its kind was brought to Mortimer Street, just off Regent Street, by Creative Director Mohsin Naveed Ranjha, Managing Director Abubakar Naveed Ranjha and fashion ecosystem pioneer Asad Malik. They said their MNR studio is set to redefine luxury and elegance – offering a wide range for both men and women.
Speaking at the event, Mohsin Naveed Ranjha and Malik Asad shared that their decision to open in London followed thorough market research. They were convinced that London, particularly the area of Regent Street, Oxford Circus, and Bond Street, offered the perfect environment for their studio. They aim to cater to the British Asian community in the UK while expanding the reach of Pakistani fashion to a wider audience.
A lot of their clients are from India, including a large number of Indian Punjabis based in the west, and Bangladesh and London would be the most suitable places.
Bollywood actress Sonam Bajwa and dozens of Pakistani and Indian socialites attended the opulent launch, which saw hundreds of people queue outside the studio to see the magic on display inside the newly unveiled studio – showcasing richly made, colorful designer clothes.

Cresset CEO Malik Asad said the London launch was based on market research. “It’s all about credibility and good intentions. We are the people behind putting fashion brands in Pakistan on the global stage in terms of strategy, eCommerce, manufacturing, investment and retail and we have always believed in the global appeal of Mohsin. It is a huge privilege to be based in the heart of London and we will be working with other Pakistani brands to take them globally.”
Bollywood Punjabi actor Sonam Bajwa said that people in London ask her about buying quality clothes for their special occasions.
The actor said, “Now people don’t have to go to India and Pakistan to buy clothes for their weddings. Mohsin is in high demand in India and overseas. Mohsin’s journey is much more than just fashion. It is a representation of a culture and a community that inspires and uplifting. His presence in London symbolizes the global recognition of South Asian creativity and craftsmanship. I have known Mohsin since 2018 and have been wearing his clothes ever since. I plan to visit Pakistan in the near future.”
Mohsin Naveed Ranjha said he wants to come to London center for a long time to show Pakistani art to the world. “Digital media has done away with borders and our followers and clients have been asking us to come to London. The latest collections from Lahore, Karachi and Gujranawla and other cities will be available here and this store will also have exclusive collections from London. We want more Pakistani designs coming to London. This is a subtle image of Pakistan on display. Sikh brides from India and elsewhere have been messaging us and playing a big role in our launch in London,” said the creative director.
Mohsin Naveed Ranjha said he was filled with feelings of pride and achievement. He commented. “To showcase the incomparable talent and craftsmanship of our artisans against the backdrop of one of the world’s most eligible fashion capitals is a dream come true. My designs pay homage to the living legacy and essence of the South Asian subcontinent, crossing borders to reveal its inherent beauty. I could not be more grateful to have opened in London, humbly alongside some of Europe’s most sought-after luxury brands.”
