During his conversation at the festival, he stated that while the drama Ertugrul Ghazi gained attention from viewers worldwide, it received unparalleled love from Pakistani audiences compared to fans in Turkey and other countries.
Engin Altan mentioned that Ertugrul Ghazi was extremely popular globally, especially in Pakistan, where the audience’s affection for the character was unique. He added that while viewers around the world may share similarities, the love shown by Pakistanis was exceptional.
Talking about how the character of Ertugrul Ghazi affected his personal life, Engin Altan shared that rather than changing him, the role had a significant impact on him. He noted that while every character is important to him, Ertugrul was special because it brought him worldwide recognition.
Additionally, Engin Altan expressed his desire to portray Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of modern Turkey, in the future.
