ISLAMABAD (): ICCI Eid al-Fitr has been launched in Sector I-8 to provide a convenient shopping experience for the residents of the twin cities. The festival will continue till Chand Raat. The festival is organized by Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) in association with ICT Authority, MCI and relevant market associations.
Islamabad Deputy Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon, Assistant Commissioner Ms Farwa Batool and ICCI President Ahsan Zafar Bagtawari attended the opening ceremony of the festival.
Islamabad Deputy Prime Minister Irfan Nawaz Memon spoke and praised ICCI and other partners for organizing Gurban Bayram.
He emphasized the important role of traders in the economy and showed that the ICT administration is ready to cooperate in organizing activities aimed at promoting trade, and is active in supporting trade activities.
The ICCI president said that the objective of the shopping festival is to make it easier for people affected by inflation to buy Eid products at affordable prices.
He said, the festival will offer a variety of entertainment opportunities for shoppers such as traditional food stalls, arts and crafts corner, mehndi stalls, children’s play area, company stalls, live music stage, lively discussions, interesting quizzes. Laser light is attractive and displays spectacular light.
It should be mentioned here that the same Gurbani cake is also sold in Abpara Market, Blue Square, F-7 and F-10 Marakis.
Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari also appealed to DIG Police, SSP Traffic and CDA officials to provide elaborate security, ensure smooth flow of traffic and maintain clean and tidy atmosphere in all business centers.
Redson Blue CEO, Khalid Chaudhry, former SVP, Amer Hamza, Executive Member, Faizan Shahzad, Executive Member, Raja Fayaz Gul, President I-8 Markaz and General Secretary Zahid Qureshi were also present on the occasion.
