Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Principal Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Syed Fakhar Jehan said that the adverse effects of climate change is a major threat to the people and the provincial government is making every effort to overcome this challenge.
He made these comments while addressing a seminar on “Community Together for Climate Justice” held at the University of Peshawar on Thursday.
This seminar is organized under the auspices of Department of Criminology in association with Adviser on Information and Public Relations KP CM, Advocate Muhammad Ali Saif to help humanity.
The KP CM adviser said that the previous PTI government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had undertaken a multi-billion tree tsunami planting project while the central government had undertaken a 10-billion tree tsunami planting project which was globally recognized for its impact.
He said that several small dams are being built in the province to save water, and measures are being taken to protect the forest. He said, students can play an active role in achieving this national goal and will actively participate in the planting campaign.
The Prime Minister’s advisor said that 64 percent of the country’s population consists of youth and the provincial government launched the Ehsaas Rozgar scheme for the youth of the province, where they will be given free loans between $1 million and $10 million. crore to support his start-up under this scheme. After Eid, the Prime Minister himself said that he will reveal this plan.
He highlighted the steps taken by the government to prevent the effects of climate change and said that since the future belongs to them, the youth can play an important role in combating this social challenge, so they must be ready for a brighter and brighter tomorrow.
He said that as an advisor to the Prime Minister, his door is always open to students and youth and they can contact them directly for any support.
Observing the attitude of the government towards universities, it is said that the provincial government provides all support in solving the problems of all educational institutions and universities.
