ECP sets up gender desk at PEC office

KARACHI: In preparation for the general elections, the Pakistani Election Commission set up a gender desk at the Provincial Election Commissioner’s office in Karachi. This desk will be manned nonstop through February 10.

A provincial election commissioner spokesperson stated that the desk was set up to handle complaints from minorities, women, senior citizens, transgender people, and special individuals.

According to the spokeswoman, complaints concerning underrepresented groups in society regarding elections can be made by calling 021-99205338 and 021-99202624.
