KARACHI: Pakistani actress Durefishan Saleem has become the centre of attention on social media after her appearance at LAM Fashion Week sparked comparisons with a look previously worn by fellow actress Mawra Hocane.
Durefishan recently walked the ramp as the showstopper for fashion brand Meha Official, wearing an elegant peach-coloured lehenga. Her appearance quickly attracted the attention of fashion enthusiasts and social media users.
Soon after photographs from the fashion event surfaced online, users began pointing out similarities between Durefishan’s outfit and a lehenga worn by Mawra Hocane in 2024.
According to the report, Mawra had also appeared as a showstopper for the same fashion brand in 2024 in an outfit featuring a similar overall design and style.
The comparison has since generated discussion across social media. While many users praised both actresses for their looks and styling, some questioned why a distinctive design was not selected for Durefishan, given her popularity in the Pakistani entertainment industry.
