Naming a child can be a challenging task, especially when parents cannot agree. A bizarre incident occurred in the Indian state of Karnataka when a couple, after a severe disagreement over naming their child, ended up in court seeking a divorce.
The conflict began when the 26-year-old husband refused to attend the naming ceremony of their son, which was organized by his 21-year-old wife. The reason behind his absence was his disagreement with the name suggested by his wife, who had proposed the name “Adi” for their child.
After months of arguments, the couple approached the court for a divorce. The judges offered several suggestions to resolve the matter, but the couple rejected all of them.
However, last week, a judge from the Mysuru Sessions Court invited the parents and amicably decided to name their three-year-old son “Arya Vardhan.”
