DIG Operations Syed Shahzad Nadeem Bukhari holds orderly room

According to details, on the special instructions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, DIG Operations Syed Shahzad Nadeem Bukhari has an orderly room where complaints against police officers, investigation of cases and evaluation of their performance were screened. , the public relations official said.

He said DIG Operations issued notices of negligence, disciplinary violation, incomplete investigation, negligence in duty and involvement in corruption against three inspectors, 10 sub-inspectors, seven ASIs, two head constables and five constables.

While four policemen namely ASI Abid Hussain, Head Constable Abid Majeed, Constable Muhammad Shoaib and Constable Areeb Ali were dismissed from duty.

While the demotion orders were issued to six policemen including Inspector Tahir Khan, Inspector Shams Ul Akbar, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Farooq, Sub-Inspector Zahid Hussain, ASI Iftikhar Ahmed and Head Constable Riaz Jalalall.

However, the annual increments of 13 policemen were stopped and the service of four policemen was also confiscated.

DIG Operations said negligence and dereliction of duty will not be tolerated in any way within the department. Protecting lives and property of citizens is our paramount responsibility and any negligence or irresponsibility in this regard will not be tolerated, he added.

In the meantime, public service delivery should be the top priority and those who demonstrate effectiveness will be part of our team.

He emphasized immediate resolution of any complaint and zero tolerance for any lapses in protecting lives and property of citizens.

The reward and punishment process will continue to improve department performance.

Officers who show excellent performance will be rewarded and commended, while those found negligent will face disciplinary action, he said.
