After the defeat in the Perth Test match, there were echoes of changes in Pakistan’s playing XI.
Three changes are expected in Pakistan’s squad for the Boxing Day Test starting December 26 in Melbourne, with injured Khurram Shehzad, wicketkeeper Sarfraz Ahmed and all-rounder Faheem Ashraf likely to miss the playing XI.

Senior wicketkeeper Sarfaraz Ahmed scored just 7 in the Perth Test match while also wasting two opportunities behind the stumps. Muhammad Rizwan can replace him while Sajid Khan can be included in the squad in place of Faheem Ashraf.
Hasan Ali or Mir Hamza can be part of the Pakistan XI in place of Khurram Shahzad, who was ruled out of the series against Australia due to injury.
