It was only recently that fans celebrated the confirmation of news about Anushka Sharma’s second pregnancy. While many videos of the star gracefully carrying her baby bump went viral, cricketer AB de Villiers’ confirmation of the matter seemed to seal the deal.
But now, in an exclusive interview with Dainik Bhasker, AB de Villiers has candidly admitted that he made a major mistake by spreading false information. Emphasizing the priority of family, De Villiers expressed regret, saying: “Family comes first, it’s a priority, as I said on my YouTube show. At the same time, I made a terrible mistake – I shared false information that was not true at all.” .”
While acknowledging that the real reasons behind Virat Kohli’s hiatus remain undisclosed, de Villiers wished his friend all the best and hoped he would come back stronger, healthier and ready to conquer the world. “Whatever the reason for this break, really hope he comes back stronger and better and healthier and fresher and ready to take on the world again,” he added.

The mystery surrounding Kohli’s decision to miss the two Test matches against England fueled speculation, with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) informed of his withdrawal for “personal reasons”. In a live session on his official YouTube channel, AB de Villiers had earlier claimed that Kohli is taking a break to welcome his second child.
In his own words, “So yes, his second child is on the way, it’s family time. You can’t judge Virat for that and yes, we miss him, but he made the right decision. We wish him all the best to become a father for the second time, and also all the best to Anushka.’
While the couple’s fans initially celebrated the news of their second child, doubts arose as AB de Villiers admitted to spreading misinformation. The joyous revelation about the couple’s expanding family may have been short-lived as the accuracy of the reports now comes into question.
