Bollywood actress Fatima Sana Shaikh, known for her role in the hit film Dangal, has revealed that she has been suffering from epilepsy.
In a recent interview with Indian media, Fatima Sana disclosed that she was diagnosed with epilepsy during the shooting of Dangal, which left her so frightened that she stopped attending events.
Discussing her struggle to accept her condition, Fatima explained, “I wasn’t ready to accept this illness, so I didn’t seek treatment. I was afraid that people would find out because there’s a stigma associated with epilepsy — people often think you’re either on drugs or doing it for attention.”
She confessed that she would have seizures once or twice a week, which prevented her from attending events. “Bright lights can trigger seizures in people with epilepsy, though it doesn’t happen every time. But I was so scared that I stopped going to events and screenings,” she said.
Fatima went on to share that she had informed paparazzi about her condition, and they started taking her pictures without using flash. Despite all this, she managed her routine very well.
It’s worth noting that after Dangal, Fatima Sana Shaikh remained in the news due to her rumored close relationship with Aamir Khan. She was last seen in the film Sameer Bahadur, and now she will showcase her acting skills in the upcoming film Metro In Dino.
