Fans of Spanish soccer club Real Madrid targeted Inter Miami star Lionel Messi ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich.
A video shared on social media by Goal shows Los Blancos fans insulting the former Barcelona star and captain on the streets of Madrid.
Fans of Al Nassr star club Cristiano Ronaldo were heard shouting: “Lionel Messi is a bastard..”
The show shows that even though no football legend is playing, the rivalry between the players and their fans is still alive.
The incident happened before the second leg of Spain’s Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich, in response to provocations by opposing fans who chanted “Messi, Messi” at Real Madrid in the last leg.
