GUJRAT, September 16, 2026: Commissioner Gujranwala and Gujrat Divisions Muhammad Ali visited the Pabbi and Rasul Reserve Forest in Sarai Alamgir along with Deputy Commissioner Gujrat Noor-ul-Ain Qureshi to review forest conservation and management efforts.
During the visit, the Commissioner inspected different parts of the forest and reviewed measures related to forest protection, plantation, conservation of the natural environment and recreational facilities.
Relevant officials briefed the visiting officers on the existing management system of the forest, conservation of natural resources and ongoing measures for the protection and development of the area.
The Pabbi and Rasul Reserve Forest covers a total area of 36,374 acres and extends across Sarai Alamgir and Kharian in Gujrat district and Phalia in Mandi Bahauddin district.
The visit highlighted the importance of protecting forest areas as natural assets that support biodiversity, improve the environment and provide valuable green spaces for local communities.
The administration said continued attention to forest protection, plantation and sustainable management is essential for conserving Punjab’s natural resources and maintaining a healthier environment.
