Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur on Thursday inaugurated Nasir Bagh feeder route of BRT (DR-14), thereby increasing the total number of BRT feeder routes to sixteen. The 18 KM long new feeder route with alignment from Board Bazar to DHA via Regi Model Town, would have a total of 16 Bus Stops including Islamia College, Board Bazar Canal Bank Colony, Nasir Teaching Hospital, PSO Stop, Police Colony, Askari VI phase 1 and 2, Mian Khan Garhi, Badizai, Regi Model Town, Zone-3 ground, Government Girls Primary School, Masajid Hamza, Ladies Park and DHA. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister also inaugurated the Central Park Regi Model Town, which has been completed at a cost of Rs. 110 million. The Central Park covering a total area of 266 kannal, has also a jogging track of about 1.5 Km, walk ways of 710 meters and parking area having capacity of more than 150 vehicles.
Talking to media on this occasion, the Chief Minister strongly condemned the federal government’s decision dropping the development projects of the province from PSDP, and said that the incumbent federal government is continuously committing injustices to the province, which has been fighting the war against terrorism on the frontline. However, the Chief Minister made it clear that people and government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa know very well how to get their legitimate rights. He asked the federal government to immediately restore the development projects of the province, otherwise be ready to face severe reaction from the province; we will utilize all available constitutional options in order to get our due rights, we have the mandate and support of about 240 million people of this country. “Incumbent federal government is unable to present its annual budget, how it will run the country”, he remarked and added that Imran Khan was governing the entire country within the same resources in a better and efficient manner. Touching upon the salient features of new provincial budget, Ali Amin Khan Gandapur said that the provincial government, despite the multiple challenges, has presented people-friendly budget for the new fiscal year, prioritizing the wellbeing of common man in the province. Under the new budget, the talented youth from across the province would be provided with soft loans, thereby enabling them to initiate their own business, in addition to giving significant relief to people in the provincial taxes, he said and maintained that the provincial government would provide free of cost solar panel to the people under the line of poverty, whereas middle class households would also get this facility on easy installments. He further said that the provincial government is also working on enhancing it’s revenue stream by ensuring judicious use of available resources in the province.
