MARDAN: Advisor to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Information and Public Relations Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, said that the provincial government is taking solid steps for the development of the health sector.
The Sehat Sahulat Card is our government’s flagship project, under which millions of patients have been treated at a cost of billions of rupees. The District Headquarters Hospital Mardan is an important and historic hospital in the province, which has been providing medical facilities to the people of Mardan and other adjacent districts.He was speaking to the hospital administration and later to the media during his visit to the District Headquarters Hospital Mardan. Upon arrival at the hospital, Medical Superintendent Dr. Javed Iqbal, along with senior doctors, welcomed the advisor.Deputy Commissioner Mardan Dr. Azmatullah Wazir and ADC Saeedullah Jan were also present on the occasion. During the briefing, it was stated that the District Headquarters Hospital Mardan is a teaching hospital that provides the best medical facilities to the public.
He said that the relevant institutions have approved the house job vacancies in Mardan Hospital, but a budget issue is pending. On the occasion, Barrister Saif revealed that he was born in DHQ Hospital Mardan, which was also an important hospital in that era.MS Dr. Javed Iqbal took Barrister Saif on a tour of the gynecology section and told him that the labor room is still present at almost the same location with modern facilities. Barrister Saif said that the issues of house job vacancies and other financial and administrative matters in Mardan Hospital will be brought to the notice of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Minister of Health, and necessary steps will be taken to resolve them.
Barrister Saif said that despite the federal government withholding funds for the provincial government, the government is providing the best services to the public with limited resources.
The advisor also administered polio drops to a child in the hospital and paid tribute to the health workers and especially the police personnel who have sacrificed their lives for the eradication of polio in the country.He said that those who have laid down their lives to save the nation’s children from diseases are our real heroes. On the occasion, DC Mardan Dr. Azmatullah Wazir and MS DHQ Hospital Mardan Dr. Javed Iqbal presented commemorative shields to Advisor Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif.
