A magnitude 5.9 earthquake hit China’s Xinjiang region on Sunday morning.
The earthquake struck Aheqi County in northwest China’s Kizilsu Kyrgyz Autonomous Prefecture in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The quake was at a depth of 10 km (6.21 miles), the GFZ said.
