CHICHAWATNI: The Forest Department has launched an operation against illegal sawmills in the Chichawatni Forest Division as part of efforts to protect forest resources and enforce forestry laws.
The action was carried out in line with the directions of the Punjab Chief Minister and the Secretary Forests, with the aim of strengthening enforcement and preventing illegal activities linked to forest resources.
Forest Protection Officer Shah Muhammad, along with his team, conducted the operation and sealed several illegal sawmills.

According to the Forest Department, the action is intended to ensure effective implementation of forest laws, protect forest resources and send a clear message against illegal activities.
Further operations against illegal sawmills and violations of forestry laws will be planned under the directions and supervision of the Deputy Conservator of Forests, Chichawatni.
Forest officials said enforcement activities would continue to protect forests, strengthen implementation of forestry laws and curb illegal activities in accordance with the directions of the Secretary Forests and the Deputy Conservator of Forests, Chichawatni.
