The Chevening Scholarships for the academic year 2024-25 are now open for applications, offering a prestigious opportunity for Pakistani students to pursue a Masters degree in the UK.
Known for their comprehensive financial support, the scholarships are available for any eligible Masters program at over 100 UK universities.
Starting on 6 August, Chevening Scholarships provide full financial coverage, including tuition fees, travel expenses, a monthly living allowance and other grants for thesis and dissertation. A total of 1,500 awards are available worldwide this year, representing a significant opportunity for aspiring students.
Eligibility and Application Process
To be considered, applicants must be citizens of a Chevening-eligible country, hold a university degree and have a minimum of two years’ experience.
Must also meet English language requirements. Candidates must submit academic transcripts, a short biographical essay, a certificate of achievement, and two letters of recommendation.
The application process is highly competitive, with only 2-3% of applicants selected. The selection criteria highlight the candidate’s commitment to creating positive change in their home country and how a UK Masters degree will facilitate this aim. Interested individuals can submit their applications through the Chevening website at chevening.org/apply.
Transformative Experience
Chevening officials emphasize the transformative impact of the skills and knowledge gained through the scholarship.
Although the scholarship does not include a post-graduation allowance, recipients can work full-time in the UK. However, they will need to secure additional funds to support themselves after their studies.
