Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has given a free hand to the coaches.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi met the head coaches of the Pakistan cricket team for the white-ball and red-ball formats, Grant Bradburn and Jason Gillespie. Assistant coach Azhar Mahmood also attended the meeting with the PCB chairman.
During the meeting, it was decided to come up with a comprehensive plan to improve batting, bowling and fielding.
According to sources, there were discussions to include fitness requirements for players in the squad, stressing that the problem was not lack of talent but the absence of good combinations in the Pakistan team.
Sources further revealed that the foreign coaches had informed Mohsin Naqvi about their plans to improve the team’s performance, to which the PCB chairman agreed.
Speaking on the occasion, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said that they will provide full support regarding the coaching of the players.
