ISLAMABAD: All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association has announced that the total sales of cement recorded a decline of 14.79 percent in January 2024 compared to the same period last year.
Total cement sales for January 2024 stood at 3.414 million tonnes, down from 4.006 million tonnes in January 2023, according to All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association statistics.
The domestic market reflected a substantial decline, with domestic sales recorded at 2.967 million tonnes in January 2024, a decrease of 17.30 percent compared to 3.588 million tonnes sold in January 2023. Despite the overall decline, there was a decline in the export sector.

In January 2024, cement exports reached 446,595 tons, an increase of 6.82 percent from the 418,067 tons exported in January of the previous year.
