BUNER: The Buner Wildlife Division has reviewed ongoing wildlife protection activities and preparations for the upcoming partridge hunting season during a meeting chaired by Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Sajjad Haider.
The meeting was attended by Range Officers Sajjad Ali, Jamshed Khan and Shakil Ahmad. Officials reviewed the ongoing Russian Dove shooting season, progress of wildlife protection activities, and the posting and deployment of field staff.
Participants also discussed preparations for the upcoming partridge shooting season, including a proposed wildlife population survey and arrangements for field monitoring and protection.
The DFO issued directions to strengthen field activities, improve monitoring and ensure effective enforcement of wildlife protection laws.
Officials were directed to take action against violations in accordance with the law and maintain vigilance in areas vulnerable to illegal hunting and other wildlife offences.
The meeting highlighted the importance of population surveys, field monitoring and timely enforcement to support sustainable wildlife management and protect bird populations in Buner.
