KARACHI: British High Commissioner Jane Marriott has said that climate change is a reality that we are facing, Pakistan is facing climate change even though Pakistan has no role in the climate disaster.
Speaking at The Future Summit under Nutshell, Jane Marriott said that a 5-year climate resilient program has been issued for Pakistan, and 35 billion rupees have been allocated for the climate resilient program. Emissions need to be reduced.

He said that Pakistan’s development is likely to decrease by 15% due to environmental destruction, food shortage is due to unsustainable policies, World Bank will provide funds to Pakistan to deal with climate change, Climate Investment Fund for Pakistan. Also going to start a program called, Britain is also starting a project to protect against the damages of climate change, under the project, 35 billion rupees will be provided to Pakistan, the funds are aimed at the middle class of Pakistan from the risks of climate change Increasing population is currently a major problem for the world including Pakistan.
