BOONI, September 8, 2026: A monthly progress review meeting of the Booni Wildlife Subdivision was held under the chairmanship of Ahtisham Ul Haq, Sub-Divisional Wildlife Officer (SDWO) Booni, to assess the performance of field staff and review ongoing wildlife protection and conservation activities in the subdivision.
The meeting focused on strengthening field operations and ensuring effective implementation of wildlife protection measures. Officials held detailed discussions on field presence, regular patrolling, prevention of illegal hunting and monitoring of vulnerable wildlife habitats.
The performance of field staff was reviewed in detail, with necessary directions issued to improve field activities and ensure more effective supervision of designated areas.
The staff were also directed to maintain comprehensive and accurate records of their field visits, patrolling activities, wildlife sightings, detected wildlife offences and actions taken against violations. Officials emphasized that proper documentation is essential for monitoring conservation efforts and assessing field performance.
During the meeting, staff members were instructed to remain vigilant in their respective areas and strengthen efforts to prevent illegal hunting and other activities that could threaten wildlife and their habitats.
The meeting concluded with clear directions to improve field performance, ensure effective supervision and maintain a strong presence in assigned areas. Staff were further advised that their field presence, performance and commitment to wildlife protection would remain key factors in evaluating the effectiveness of conservation activities.
The review meeting reflects the Booni Wildlife Subdivision’s continued focus on strengthening field-level monitoring and protecting wildlife and critical habitats through sustained enforcement and conservation efforts.
