Women Beneficiaries Can Now Withdraw Their Payments from Any Authorized Retailer of Partner Banks Across Pakistan After Receiving Payment Confirmation SMS
The Benazir Income Support Programme has launched nationwide training sessions from Lahore to inform women beneficiaries about the facilities, procedures and security measures associated with the new digital wallet system.
Islamabad: In his opening remarks at the training session, Additional Secretary BISP Dr. Asmat Nawaz emphasized that effective staff training, capacity building and comprehensive awareness among women beneficiaries are essential for the successful implementation of the digital payment system.
Highlighting the importance of the interoperability system, Dr. Asmat Nawaz stated that after receiving the payment confirmation SMS, women beneficiaries would be able to withdraw their payments from any authorized retailers of partner banks in any city across Pakistan, according to their convenience. Dr. Asmat Nawaz made it clear that any unauthorized deduction from payments would not be tolerated. He advised women beneficiaries to contact the BISP Helpline at 0800-26477 or their relevant Tehsil Office in case of any payment-related complaint.
He also thanked the Social Policy Section of UNICEF for its support in the training activities.
