BCCI announces new One Day captain

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced its new one-day captain. India have named a 15-member youth squad for the five-match series against Zimbabwe. Shubman Gill will lead the young Indian squad for the Zimbabwe tour.

The Indian squad for the tour of Zimbabwe includes only two players, Jasprit Bumrah and Sanju Samson, who are part of the 2024 World Cup. Apart from the established names, the squad also includes Abhishek Sharma, Nitish Rana, Riyaan Parag and Tushar Deshpande, who have shown performances which is interesting in IPL 2024.

The series between India and Zimbabwe will begin on July 6, a week after the conclusion of the T20 World Cup.
