Baja Wildlife Park Inspection Reviews Wildlife Care and Management Standards

SWABI: Divisional Forest Officer Mardan Wildlife Division Izaz Ali Shah, along with Deputy Ranger Mardan Wildlife Range Ibrahim Shah, conducted a surprise inspection of Baja Wildlife Park in Swabi Wildlife Sub-Division to review the management and care of captive wildlife.

During the inspection, the DFO reviewed the health and condition of captive animals and birds, the cleanliness and maintenance of enclosures, feed and water arrangements, and facilities available for visitors.

He expressed satisfaction with the overall management of the wildlife park but directed SDFO Wildlife Swabi Muhammad Ishaq to further improve cleanliness, feeding arrangements, enclosure maintenance and the overall care of captive wildlife.

The DFO stressed that the health and welfare of animals and birds must remain a priority and that there should be no compromise in their proper care and management.

He also directed Deputy Ranger and Park In-charge Navid Ali to remain vigilant and ensure regular monitoring of all captive animals and birds. He ordered timely provision of feed and clean water, proper maintenance of enclosures and maximum facilitation for visitors.

The DFO warned that negligence in the management and care of wildlife would not be tolerated.

Regular inspections and proper management of wildlife parks are important for protecting captive animals, maintaining healthy conditions and promoting public awareness about wildlife conservation.
