RAWALPINDI: The Commander of the National Guard of the Kingdom of Bahrain, General Shaikh Mohamed bin Isa bin Salman AI-Khalifa called on the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir at GHQ on Saturday.
The talks were aimed at strengthening bilateral military cooperation. The two leaders discussed matters of mutual interest, including regional security dynamics, counter-terrorism efforts and exchange of training, an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release said.
Speaking on the occasion, the COAS said that Pakistan values its traditionally strong defense, diplomatic, and economic relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain and emphasized Pakistan’s determination to strengthen military ties with Bahrain.

The COAS emphasized the importance of cooperation in solving common security challenges and promoting peace and stability in the region.
The visiting dignitary praised Pakistan for its efforts in the fight against terrorism and extremism and appreciated the professionalism and dedication of the Pakistan Army. He reaffirmed Bahrain’s determination to deepen defense and security cooperation with Pakistan.
