Pakistan cricketer Babar Azam is expected to return as the captain of the national T20I team.
Sources revealed on Friday that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials have informed current T20I captain Shaheen Shah Afridi about the decision.
Asked the PCB officials, Afridi said, “Can you tell me the reasons why I have been removed from the captaincy of the T20I format?”

According to sources, PCB officials could not answer Afridi’s question.
PCB officials said, “It has been decided to appoint Babar Azam as captain.”
