Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam made Pakistan Super League (PSL) history during the second match of the ninth season against Quetta Gladiators at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
The right-handed batsman achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first batsman to amass 3,000 runs in the PSL, surpassing any other player yet to cross the 2,500-run mark.
Chasing a challenging target of 207 runs, the right-handed batsman showcased his exceptional skills by reaching his fifty off 29 balls. Despite his impressive performance of 68 runs, Zalmi fell short of the 207-run target set by the Gladiators, making Babar Azam’s brilliant knock in vain.

Babar’s remarkable performance unfolded over 80 innings where he amassed a total of 3004 runs at an impressive average of 44.83. His batting prowess is evident from his record which includes 29 half-centuries and one century.
