Former Pakistan batsman Azhar Mahmood has emerged as a strong candidate for the post of assistant coach.
Mehmood has vast experience in coaching as he was the bowling coach of Pakistan national cricket team from 2016 to 2019.
He also remains a member of Islamabad United’s main coaching staff in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Additionally, Mahmood has extensive experience playing cricket and franchise cricket around the world.
