Islamabad United cricketer Azam Khan on Saturday decided to perform exceptionally in the upcoming matches of the ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Speaking to the media in Lahore, Azam acknowledged United’s bowling performance and said, “We posted a low score in the previous year, but our bowlers still showed a lot of resistance.”
He said, “Those who play leagues and international cricketers are similar players.”
Throwing light on his international career, Azam said, “I couldn’t take full advantage of the opportunities I got on the international circuit. But if I get an opportunity in international cricket, I will give my best.”
Azam praises United pacer Naseem Shah saying, “Naseem Shah is one of Pakistan’s biggest stars. Hopefully Naseem Shah will have a long career at United.”

Talking about the team dressing room, Azam said, “There is no difference between senior and fringe players in our team.”
He said: “I used to be in touch with my father [Moine Khan] but he is involved in different teams.”
Azam, who stood behind Ubaid Shah and Hunain Shah, said, “Both Ubaid Shah and Hunain are great players who will hopefully represent Pakistan in the future.”
