The Punjab Home Ministry has issued a new directive aimed at strengthening the security of the National Pipeline Network and under the new directive, any attacks on the National Pipeline and other national facilities are classified as acts of terrorism.
The administration in all districts is focused on ensuring the robust safety of the national pipeline. A common mechanism will be created to protect all security facilities in the province.
The police and other law enforcement agencies were tasked with protecting this national asset.
The national pipeline network is approximately 2,000 km long, underscoring the extensive reach and importance of these safety measures. The directive will be incorporated into the provincial disaster response plan to streamline emergency response and coordination.
